Who is responsible

Gaëtan Huszovits is responsible for the personal data of Simplist account holders. Contact: me@gaetanhus.fr.

What we collect from account holders

Account: name, email address, profile picture, and the way you sign in (a password stored as a hash, a Google or GitHub identity, passkeys, two-factor settings).

Sessions: for each signed-in device, the IP address and browser information, so you can review and end your sessions.

Content: the posts, translations, thumbnails, projects and API keys you create. API keys are stored hashed.

Billing: the subscription and customer references. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.

Why we use it

To run the service (sign-in, storing and delivering your content), to secure accounts, to bill paid plans, and to send the emails the service needs, such as sign-in codes and password recovery. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Visitor statistics

Project owners can add the Simplist tracking script to their site. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in the browser.

For each visit we record the page, the referring site, the country, the language, the screen width, the browser, the system and the device type. To count unique visitors we compute a hash from the IP address, the browser and the project. The hash changes every day, so a visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next. The IP address itself is not stored.

The owner of the site is responsible for informing their own visitors.

Cookies

Simplist uses a cookie to keep you signed in and, if you choose a theme, your browser stores that choice locally. These are needed for the service to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who receives data

Only the providers that run the service for us: hosting, email delivery, payments (Stripe) and, if you choose them, Google or GitHub sign-in. Each receives only what it needs. Content you publish through the API is delivered to whoever holds a valid key or reads your site.

How long we keep it

Account data and content are kept while your account exists. When you delete your account they are removed, apart from what we must keep for accounting or legal reasons. Visitor statistics are kept for the project they belong to and removed with it.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, to object to its use, or to limit it. Write to me@gaetanhus.fr. If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the last update above.
